Makeup Q&A

1. Do you apply your foundation with a brush, sponge, or fingers?I don't wear foundation
2. Do you apply your eyeshadow from light to dark? or dark to light?Light to dark.

3. Do you prime your eyes?Yes, I always do, as it keeps the eyeshadow lasting longer and it stops it from creasing or smudging as I have combination skin.
4. Concealer first, or after foundation?I apply my concealer after my moisturiser.
5. Go for manicures, or manicure yourself?I have always loved nail art and painting my nails. I'm told it is one of my talents! (haha) I used to get them done at my local salon, but now I always do them myself. That way I can change them whenever I like and paint them/ design them exactly how I want to and I don't have to worry about the cost.
6. Exfoliate lips, face or both?If I'm wearing a very opaque lipstick, then I will exfoliate my lips using a toothbrush, but I don't do it on a regular basis. I exfoliate my face about once a week.
7. On average, how long does it take you to do your makeup?About half an hour before work/ school, but if it is a special occasion it can take me up to an hour!8. Do you wear makeup everyday and everywhere?I love wearing makeup and experimenting with it, so I do wear it most days. I always like to make sure that I don't wear any at least one day a week, so that my skin gets a break.
9. What release are you most excited about? (Makeup)Baby Lips still haven't been released in England yet! I do have a lot of the different, but I would love for them to come out in England!
10. What’s your weakness? Shoes, purses, clothes, jewelry, eyeshadow, lipstick or other?I just love buying makeup in general!
11. Do you whiten your teeth? No.
12. Wax eyebrows, or pluck?I pluck my eyebrows, as I like them to be really thick and square. I think that they frame your face, so the more naturally defined, the better. Waxing would make them too thin!
13. What do you use to contour?I use Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium/ Dark.
14. False lashes, or natural?Natural is always better, but I love adding half- lashes on a special occasion.
15. Favorite makeup brand?Urban Decay, Mac,Benefit, Maybelline, Revlon..... I love them all!
16. Liquid eyeliner, pencil or gel?I can only wear liquid or gel eyeliner, as pencil irritates my eyes. I prefer gel though, as it is easier to apply, it dries faster and stays put for the whole day. Liquid is available in a wider range of colours though.
17. Lipstick, lipgloss or chapstick?Lipstick and chapstick.
18. Pigments, pressed or cream eyeshadow?I can't choose! I love them all! Pigments are best for softer, metallic looks. Pressed eyeshadows are really easy to apply and are available anywhere really. Cream eyeshadows are PERFECT for creating a subtle smokey eye, as you can just layer the colour towards the outer corner.
19. If you had to wear only one thing, excluding foundation; what would it be?Mascara. It makes me look more awake and it accentuates my eyes.
20. Favorite color?Purple or pink.21. Favorite color combination?Purple and pink!
22. Natural? or Dramatic? (Eye Makeup)Natural with a bold lip and dramatic with a nude lip.
23. Do you care more for quality or name brand?Quality definitely, as there are some awful products out there made by great brands and there are some amazing products that are almost undiscovered because of their brand name.
24. Do you enjoy using face masks? If so which ones?I love the Superdrug peel off facemasks, they smell amazing! I also really like the mud facemasks, as they make your skin feel so soft.
25. What is your current addiction? (example: lipsticks, eyeshadows, earrings..)

Lipstick, as it is now summer, I'm not wearing a lot of makeup, so I love to add a pop of colour using a fun, bright lipstick!

April Favourites

Hi everyone!
Today's post is my APRIL FAVES!

So this month i've had an obsession with the colour khaki, so my first favourite it this jacket from H&M. I love the tarnished gold stud detailing on it and it's quite light so it's perfect for spring!
£29.99

My next favourite is the new Percy Pig Rosey Noses. For those of you who don't live in England, they are raspberry flavoured marshmallows!

I have also been loving the Maybelline colour tattoos in the shades 'Eternal gold' and 'Permanent taupe'. They look amazing on their own and you can also blend them together to make a khaki/ bronze colour. I really am loving shimmery makeup at the moment so these are perfect to create that look!

My favourite Lip product for spring has been the Maybelline baby lips lip balms! Especially in the flavour 'Cherry me' I also love 'Melon mania'!

For my favourite scent, I had to choose the Hollister silver strand beach perfume as it smells so nice! It's very citrus-y and quite sweet. You get quite a lot in the bottle, so it is very good value for money, as it lasts all day too!

I've really been loving the boho fashion this month. I love the beach wave- hairstyle and gold eye make up and natural cheeks and lips. My Seventeen bronzing palette highlighter creates the perfect glowing dewy skin to compliment the look!

My favourite song this month has been:
Summer Shade by Cody Simpson and Popular by Ariana Grande and Mika.

Thank you all for reading! What have been your favourites for the month of April?

Shopaholic Tag

Hi everyone! Today I will be doing the shopaholic tag! Hope you all enjoy it!

1. Would you consider yourself a shopaholic?
Yes, I really enjoy shopping and love the aspect of buying new fashions and makeup etc.

2. How would you classify your style?
Classic and comfortable! Quite edgy- Studs etc. I also wear a lot of khaki! I love to shop the trends as well, but who doesn't?

3. What store can you not leave without buying at least one thing?
H&MH&MH&MH&MH&MH&MH&MH&MH&M!!!!!!
I can spend so much in there and I never regret buying any of it!

4. Where do you find the best deals?
I guess i'd have to say Asos or New Look maybe. They both have sales on all the time and quite often they'll have 20% off which is great! I also love feelunique for great deals on makeup and hair products.

5. What designer are you willing to splurge for?
I don't really buy designer clothing, but I did buy a dress from Holister once, which was £50 reduced to £10, which is such a great deal but I probably wouldn't have paid any more for it! I 'splurge' on makeup quite often, especially Benefit and Urban Decay!

6. Do you have a go-to shopping outfit?
Jeans, ankle boots and a light jumper. You don't want too many layers, as it can get quite hot. I like to be comfortable while i'm shopping because you have to do a lot of walking.

7. What is your guilty pleasure? (Not including makeup)
Crop tops and hair accessories/ jewelery. I once went crazy buying hair bows.. I probably have about 50 now....

8. What is one staple clothing piece you cannot live without?
Camisoles. I have them in every colour you could imagine! My favourite ones are the New look ones, they're only about £2.50, which is amazing!

9. What is a trend you hope never goes out of style?
Lace and Dip hemmed clothing. I have bought so many lace tops over the last couple of years, they're so pretty and are perfect for summer! I also have quite a few dip- hemmed garments, I especially love dip hemmed tops as they are perfect for wearing with leggings.

10. What trend did you love that passed way to quickly?
Animal print- It was so popular last summer! It comes back every so often, as do most trends, so you can still pull it off! I also feel as though pastels are only ever in fashion every spring, which is annoying as they're really flattering!

11. Who is your fashion icon?
Demi Lovato- For her edgy look.
Selena Gomez and Bridgit Mendler- They pull off the layered look better than anyone!
Bethany Mota AKA Macbarbie07 - She shops at H&M so I feel that our styles are quite similar. When I watch her youtube hauls and videos I sometimes notice that she has the same top or dress etc. as me! I also love that she is always wearing really bright, girly things!

I hope you enjoyed this tag! Who's your style icon? Do you have a favourite place to shop? Let me know in the comments section below!

Selena Gomez Come and get it Makeup Tutorial!

Hi everyone! Today I have done a Selena Gomez inspired makeup tutorial! It was inspired by the make up she wears in her new music video 'Come and get it'. I also did a similar hairstyle to hers. You can recreate it yourself by doing a middle parting and then creating a french braid on each side of the parting. I then curled my hair, to give it more volume like Selena's in the video!

Products Used:
Moisturiser
Eyeshadow primer
17 BB cream- light
Benefit Erase paste- light
 Maybelline fit me concealer- 15

17 Bronzing palette and Instant glow bronzer
Bourjois little round pot blush- Lilas D'or
Benefit Fine one one
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette
17 Eyebrow pencil
Maybelline Colour 24hr tattoo- Permanent taupe
Dark brown pigment eye shadow
Eyeliners- Brown, black, silver, gold and white
17 Lip gloss
No7 Lip gloss- Marshmallow
Benefit They're Real! Honest!

1. Put a small amount of bb cream to the back of your hand and mix it with your moisturiser
2. Next, apply eyeshadow primer. Take your favourite concealer and apply under your eyes to cover dark circles under your eyes.
3. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply Maybelline colour tattoo in Permanent taupe to your eyelid. Then take a liner brush and combine Busted and Blackout from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and apply it along your top lash line, winging it out towards the end of your eyebrow.
4. Apply a dark brown pigment colour over the top of the eyeshadow on your lash line. Next take the eyeshadow colour Chopper to your crease using a crease brush.
5. Using your fingertip, apply Foxy to your browbone and next to your inner corners of your eyes and apply Bootycall to the inner corners, this will make your eyes appear brighter and more open.
6. Draw a line of black pencil eyeliner under your bottom lash line and connect it to your winged liner. Blend it out with a liner brush. Next, apply a white eyeliner around the inner corner of your eye and continue the line next to your winged liner, for a more precise look. Blend it out with an eyeliner brush.
7. Finally apply a gold or silver eyeliner to the inner corner of your eye and blend it out. Set it using a white shimmery highlighting powder.
8. Apply your favourite black mascara. I used Benefit's They're real, as it gives the illusion of false eyelashes.
9. Take Benefit's fine one one and apply it to your cheeks. Alternatively you can use a coral blusher and a highlighting powder.
10. Sweep highlighter along your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, your cupids bow and your chin. Then apply bronzer under your bottom lip to make lips appear fuller. Lightly contour your face for a warm glow.
11. Finally apply a light peachy pink lipgloss.

What do you think of Selena's new single?

Easter Gift Guide! :)

Hi everyone! Today I thought I would write an easter related post seeing as it is now spring!

Brother/ Sister: My brother and I usually agree on a limit, so that one of us doesn't buy a £10 easter egg and the other buys one for £2. The good thing about buying for your sibling is that you know their likes/ dislikes. My brother and I always buy each other easter eggs, just because we spend quite a lot on each other for christmas and birthdays, so we don't spend as much for easter. If you want to do something that would cost less, then you could buy a few mini Creme eggs or some mini eggs and do a little easter egg hunt for them. You could even do little rhymes for the clues and get friends and family involved!

Mum/ Dad: For your parents present you could either split the cost with your siblings, or just buy them something little like a Lindt bunny or a Smarties chick.

Friend: If you are buying for a lot of friends, I would recommend buying something little, like some mini eggs, or alternatively you could bake some cupcakes and bring them into school. If you would like an easter cupcakes recipe please leave a comment below.

Boyfriend/ Girlfriend: Try and be thoughtful with your gift. If you don't want to buy them chocolate, you could decorate an old jam jar and fill it with all of your favourite memories together by writing each memory on a piece of paper. Another idea is getting a basket and filling it with loads of different treats that they love, e.g. their favourite chocolates, books, dvds, jewellery etc.

Pets: You can visit your local pet food store and pick up some of your pet's favourite treats. They sometimes even sell easter eggs for cats and dogs.

I hope my easter gift guide helped you all. Thanks for reading!

5 Products I Would Repurchase Tag!

Hi everyone! This is my second tag post. I really enjoy writing tag posts for you all, so if you have any blog post requests(or questions)please leave a comment below :)

1. Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush- I bought this in the shade Lilas D'or, which is a pretty dark pink colour with a hint of gold. It's so gorgeous for day or night and the gold undertones catch the light really well. It also has a really nice scent, which isn't too sweet or overpowering. I've had my blusher for two years and had barely made a dent in it, so it lasts for ages! I'm hoping to buy the Rose D'or shade soon, as it is quite similar to Lilas D'or but a shade or two lighter. The packaging is so cute and is really compact and easy to just pop in your handbag. Bourjois also do limited edition packaging for their blushes quite often, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for them! They come with a small travel brush which actually works really well. I also love the fact that they have so many different shades available in the range.

2. Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay- I was given this for christmas and have used it almost everyday. It has a wide range of colours, and each colour has a matte, shimmer or glitter finish. My favourite colours from the palette are Verve and pistol. I think that this should be a staple in everyone's make up collection, because it's so versatile and you can create so many different looks with it. It has a slight scent of peppermint which matches the free mini Lip Junkie Lipgloss which is in the shade Naked. The packaging is a nude coloured tin, and it comes with a lid and crease eyeshadow brush.

3. Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter- I love these lip butters, as they last for hours! I have the shade Berry Smoothie. I feel as though it suits all skin tones, as I bought one for myself (I have a very pale skin tone), and my mum asked me to get her one (she has a tanned/ olive skin tone) and it suits her so well! They apply so smoothly and are sheer, but still very pigmented! There is such a wide variety of colours, and they're all really fun, bright, summery colours! The only negative is the price of them, as they are £7.99, but I bought mine when they were on offer for £5.00. Here in the UK they have brought out 7 new shades, which have been available in America for a while now.

4. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy perfume- I have Viva La Juicy, Viva La Juicy La Fleur and the rollerball which contains both perfumes. I think that the original Viva La Juicy is my favourite, but I love them both! The bottles are decorated really nicely, with jewelry, charms and ribbons. I think that the decorative bottles are a really nice touch, as they brighten up your dressing table!

5. Maybelline Expression Colour Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow- I have this in the shade Eternal Gold and Permanent Taupe and I bought Pink Gold for my mum for mother's day. They last a long time, but they do crease if you don't use an eyeshadow primer underneath them. They have a smooth, creamy consistency and you don't need to use a brush to apply them. They also work well underneath powder eyeshadows, as the powder eyeshadow helps to set them and prevent smudging.

I hope that you enjoyed my post and make sure leave blog post requests in the comments below! :)

5 Products I regret buying tag!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog

Some of you may recognise the title of this post, as it is actually a Youtube tag that I decided to blog for you all instead! So this is a short list of 5 products that I will not be repurchasing anytime soon!

1. Natural Collection Cover- Up Cream- This product comes in two shades; Fair and Medium. I bought this concealer in the shade 'fair', but it came out a light orange colour. It doesn't blend well into the skin and takes hours to dry. It also goes flaky when pressed powder is applied over it, so it looks awful. It didn't cover up my blemishes. It just accentuated them by creating an orange border around them! I would rate this product 0/5.

2. Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipstick- I bought this product purely because I loved the colour which I bought it in, which was 'Bubblegum', which is just a really fun, bright and bold pink. The lipstick had a really overpowering vanilla scent, which was very sickly. I also felt that it looked cakey when applied, as it was so thick. It also looked really a really garish colour because of the opacity. I would rate this product 1/5.

3. Barry M Mint Green Nail Polish- I love the colour of this product and was really excited to try it, but the product is so thin, that you have to apply 4-5 coats of it to achieve the colour shown on the bottle, which makes it really thick. The brush isn't very good, as it's very small and the actual nail varnish takes a very long time to dry. After I removed the nail varnish I discovered that the colour had transferred onto my nails and left them very dry and in a really bad condition. The greed tint on my nails took about a month to go completely, so I would definitely use a base coat underneath the nail polish. I would rate this product 1/5.

4. Gosh Velvet Touch Black Eyeliner- I received this eyeliner in a christmas gift set, so the colour might be limited edition. I actually love this eyeliner, it's very pigmented, lasts for hours and is really easy to apply. However, it's one of those eyeliners that you can't sharpen or twist to get more product, so when you open the product what you see is what you get (and that's not very much at all!). I think that as it costs £4.99 there should be a lot more product, as it doen't last very long at all. I would rate this product 2/5.

5. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara- I bought this mascara in the shade Black Waterproof. I had heard really great reviews about it and couldn't wait to buy it. The first thing I noticed about this mascara is how dark the colour is. It's good if you are going for a dramatic smokey- eye look, but as I wanted an everyday mascara, I knew this wasn't the right one for me. The name 'Great Lash' makes you think great big false- looking eyelashes, but I found that it didn't curl, lengthen or create volume. It just made my eyelashes really dark. I would give this product 2/5.

Erase Paste, It's Potent and Fine- One- One Review

Hi everyone! Welcome to my second blog post, following my Benefit Cosmetics unboxing post.

Today I will be reviewing the following Benefit products:
Erase Paste, It's Potent and Fine- One- One.

So I'll start of by reviewing Erase Paste! It's available in a small variety of shades; S01 Light, S02 Medium and S03 Dark. I purchased mine in the shade Light. I find buying concealers very difficult, as most of them have yellow undertones, but Erase Paste has a pink undertone so it matches my skin tone perfectly. The consistency is really thick, so it has good coverage and doesn't wear off easily. The pot is quite small and doesn't contain a lot of product, but as it is really thick you only need to apply a tiny amount. The application of the product goes on very smoothly and I noticed a really big difference after applying it under my eyes and to other imperfections. I really love the way it helps to achieve a flawless look. I don't use foundation and you certainly wouldn't need to use Erase Paste as well as a foundation, as it has such good coverage. The packaging is a small pink/ purple coloured box and it shows a before and after photo on the box. The shade is written on the top of the box, so it's quite unlikely that you would accidentally pick up the wrong shade. Inside the box comes the concealer in a small jar, a small plastic spatula and a step by step instruction booklet. I found applying the product really straight forward and easy. You firstly use the spatula to take a tiny (and I mean tiny!) amount of the product out of the jar and apply it to the back of your hand. Next you take a concealer or foundation brush to thin out the product by rubbing it onto the back of your hand. Once the concealer feels a bit more light you can use the brush to apply it to your under eyes and imperfections. Make sure you dab the concealer into your skin instead of rubbing it in. This will make the concealer look more natural and will avoid pulling at your skin. It costs £19.50, which is very expensive, but it is a very good concealer that is worth purchasing.

The next product I am going to review today is the It's potent eye cream. I received this as a luxury sized free sample. It comes in the most adorable, tiny little jar which would be a really nice addition to anyones makeup collection! The product is white in colour and has a really smooth application. It felt very moisturising when applied and is also supposed to reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. You apply it using a cotton bud and dipping it into the pot and then dabbing it under your eyes. Then blend it in with your ring finger. I used a very small amount of this, as I have read some reviews that say it burns if too much product is applied. I felt that it made a nice smooth base for my concealer which was really great!

So the next product I will be reviewing is by far the most exciting, and that is the Fine- One One blusher, bronzer and highlighter for lips and cheeks. It comes in very classy pink shiny packaging. The application is so smooth and it is really easy to blend in. What I love about this product is that you can draw a line using the product directly onto your skin and can blend it in with your fingers, so don't need to use brushes or any other kind of makeup applicator. The colour is sheer, so it creates a very natural look when applied to your lips, but it would work well as a lip primer as it has a smooth finish. This is one of Benefit's newest products, and costs £23.00.

As Benefit makeup is quite pricey, I would recommend going to your local Benefit counter to try out the products. This way you won't buy the wrong shade or buy a product that you don't like. They can also show you how to apply each product correctly, so that you are using it to it's full potential.

Benefit Cosmetics.co.uk Unboxing!

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog!

Today I am going to be talking about Benefit cosmetics, so I hope all you makeup lovers enjoy my post!
So this week I bought my first benefit cosmetics order ever! It was very exciting for me, as I have wanted to own something from Benefit cosmetics for a while. I decided to order the 'Erase Paste' concealer. I bought this in the shade S01. Here is a link for the product

I also decided to buy the new Fine- One- One blusher, bronzer and highlighter. I was originally going to buy the Moon Beam, as it seems to be the most 'raved about' product from Benefit, but I saw the new Fine- One- One and decided to buy that instead. Here is the link for it

The great thing about ordering from Benefit is that they are always having offers and giving away free gifts with purchases, so I was sent a free 'It's Potent!' eye cream. They also give you two free sachet sample with each purchase, you can choose from a selection, which is really good because you can choose samples that suit your skin tone and type.

When I received my order it was wrapped in bright pink tissue paper and had a card from Benefit. I think in terms of service, the order was definitely worth while. I will be posting reviews to each purchase soon!
